Fleet was looking for a replacement solution for their existing problem tracking system. Their former system consisted of a manual paper method with Excel spreadsheets. With this process, issues would get lost and overlooked and it made development frustrating and time consuming.

Fleet chose Orbit Track to manage their issues and requests because it was web based and satisfied all of their requirements for an issue tracking system. Developers can now search and enter issues over the web in a centralized database, and therefore eliminate all paper methods.

Fleet is also an Orbit application development suite user and is in the process of converting over their existing spreadsheet applications into web-based applications. With Orbit Track and Orbit, Fleet has complete control over the front end of the application and is able to customize their own reports and make modifications to the screens to suit their business needs and changing requirements.

Since Orbit Track is built on top of Orbit, the source code for the front end is included. This enables developers to make modifications and enhancements to the system quickly and easily and makes Orbit Track the most flexible and configurable tracking system on the market.

Fleet converted their existing issues and enhancements from their paper based system into Orbit Track in a matter of days utilizing mass change forms and fast data entry screens.

They were able to configure Orbit Track to meet all of their needs, plus added additional components such as customized release notes and other custom reporting. Fleet was utilizing the Orbit Track system in production within one week after initial installation.
